Second week of posting my weigh-in....it's actually hard for me to do. (Posting it....not getting on the scale.) I feel self-conscious...like everyone knows if I ate healthy or not...which is the point ? right?
Highest weight: 205
Weight on day of surgery: 180
Goal weight: 140-142
Last week: 144
Weight today: 145
A GAIN???? That's not what I was going for. Maintenance is tricky.
I weighed in 4days in a row at 145.0...whenever my weight is EXACTLY the same, I know I am not eating enough. I added in an extra 140 calories to my daily budget to see if that would break the cycle. It did...weighed in at 144.4 & 144.6 the last two days. Now I am starting to wonder IF maybe I don't need those extra calories?? I really don't want to gain. I will start to cut back on some of my exercise since I go back to work tomorrow.
I guess I will have to see what happens over the next few days and re-evaluate.
Happy Wednesday.
Both weeks this summer during vacation weeks when I know I ate more than I would on a work week, I lost more than work weeks.
ReplyDeleteFreaking strange.
We aren't judging! You are doing awesome. Weighing in for a gain sucks, especially when you don't feel like you've done anything you shouldn't. Getting back to work has straightened me right up. Now I just need to get a weekend job! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the cartoon! I feel the same way about the weekly weigh-ins (I do mine on Fridays), but it really does help keep me on track. It also helps me realize that my weight isn't just a result of calories in/calories out.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't worry about a 0.something gain, lady. You're in maintenance, there'll be ups and downs! I'm all over the place weight-wise, and honestly... it's no big deal.
ReplyDeleteNo one's looking at us saying, "Gross... I can really see that extra pound on her today!" ;)
